“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.” – Psalm 34:7
In the world we live in, there are plenty of things to be afraid of. There are a million different circumstances and possibilities we could worry about. But I want to counter any of those worries you might be facing today with some encouragement.
You are invincible until God is through with you on this planet. Let me say that again, just so it sinks in. You are invincible until God is through with you. There is absolutely nothing on this earth that can outsmart or outwork the sovereignty of our Heavenly Father, and that should give us so much peace.
Something else we can find peace in is the fact that the Lord has sent His angels to watch over us and protect us. Psalm 34:7 reminds us of this when it says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.” There is so much comfort we can draw from this promise, but one thing to remember is that we should ultimately be focusing on God, not just on the angels.
Whether or not you’ve personally had an encounter with an angel, don’t get so enamored with the angel or the experience that you forget who is ultimately in control. Angels are here to serve us and to help us, but God is the one directing them to do so.
So let’s be grateful and thank the Lord for angels, but let’s also thank him for our Savior, Jesus Christ. He’s the one who is protecting you. He is providing for you, comforting you, and encouraging you. As you rest in those truths, make the choice to stand for Christ this week. Be bold and courageous. Use the time you have on this planet to tell other people about Jesus. Remember, you are invincible for as long as the Lord wants you on this earth. So live with that confidence today, knowing you are being guided and protected by God Himself and His angels.
