“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” (James 1:5-6)
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” (John 16:13)
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)
Wisdom is the application of knowledge for the betterment of oneself and others. Wisdom is understanding what isn’t obvious on the surface. It’s being able to anticipate possible consequences. It’s learning from others who have gone before or who know more than we know. God’s Word is a wealth of this last kind of wisdom. In addition to providing us with this written source of wisdom, God will respond when we ask for wisdom for specific situations. He has promised this! Ask God for wisdom today.
