“Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.” (Psalm 143:1)
There can be seasons in life when you are hit with difficult circumstances, maybe not just one, but many. Difficulties come that are outside our control, and life’s circumstances that God allows you to go through. Sometimes the circumstances are just life events; others may be the result of consequences from choices that others have made. But regardless, when crises come, they can cut you to the core, causing you to wonder if the bleeding will ever stop.
If you are there and you are asking, “When will the relief come?” Be encouraged, the relief is already there for you. The relief is not in the change of circumstances; the relief is in Christ Himself. He is waiting for you to rely on Him, totally and independently of the circumstance. We don’t have to wait for our circumstances to change to find relief. If you feel overwhelmed by a difficulty in your life and you are looking for relief, look no further; Jesus is there waiting to carry you and see you through. He hears your prayer, He listens to your cry for mercy, and He IS faithful to come to your relief.
