And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Have you ever been caught in a storm? Maybe you were driving and suddenly the sky just opened up and the rain fell so hard you could barely see the road in front of you. The thunder clapped and the lightning struck. The whole time, your body was tense, as your heart raced. All you wanted was for things to ease up.
As we know, getting caught in a thunderstorm is nothing compared to being hammered by the storms of life.
Some of us are in the midst of a storm like that right now. Others are just now leaving the storm, while some of us are getting ready to go into a storm. Regardless of where you are, whether it is a relationship in your family, with your finances, or with your health, there is not any situation that has come into your life which has caught God by surprise. It may have caught you by surprise, but He remains unfazed.
He can use the things you are going through to reveal Himself to you personally. He is a wonder-working, miracle-working, healing, and saving kind of God. He is a restoration kind of God, as well. He wants to use your situation to reveal some of His character, His love, and His care. God wants to give you a glimpse that He is not through with you yet. There is nothing wasted in your life; and you and I need to come to the place where we say, “Oh Lord, how can You use what I am going through?”
