Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
With the state of our current world, it can be very easy for us to panic, worry, and overthink. We can’t seem to figure out what’s going on, why this is happening, or how long these circumstances will last. When we find ourselves in the midst of so much unknown, we become frustrated because we realize we don’t have all the answers.
I think it’s a good thing that we have come to a place where we realize that. We don’t have all the answers, and we never will have all the answers. This is a humbling situation, indeed.
I pray that we never get so full of ourselves that we fail to realize that there is hope in Jesus, there is peace, and there is joy. We don’t need to have complete and total understanding to grasp the promises He gives us.
As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight.”
The Lord wants to give you insight, peace, and comfort, where the world cannot. In order to receive those gifts, we have to trust Him. We have to lean on His understanding and power rather than our own. Also, we must understand that we don’t have all the answers.
