Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret — it only causes harm. (Psalm 37:4-8)
God’s Word is faithful and true. Look at Genesis 46:3. “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. (Genesis 46:3) God told Jacob what He was about to do; and it came to pass. God did everything He promised He would do, beginning with Abraham.
When the believer stands firm in faith, not asking for a sign from God (no faith there), diligent in study, obedient, and resting in God’s Word; he can know the will of God for his life. Knowing and following God’s Word allow us to see the providence of God working in our lives. We are mindful that He will never lead us in a direction that is contrary to His Word.
Remember these things as you commit yourself to obeying His Word: God opens and closes doors for you through circumstances and coincidences in life. His Holy Spirit moves in you to give you the desire to go in His direction. God’s Word confirms His providential working in your life. “Maranatha!”
