About Dr. Curt Dodd

Senior Pastor

Dr Curt Dodd, host for Higher Aim, has served churches in Texas, Colorado and Florida before becoming the Senior Pastor of Westside Church, Omaha in 2004. Committed to the local church, he has written And One to Grow On, Hearts on Fire: The Keys to Dynamic Church Growth, Running on Empty in the Fast Lane and most recently Armchair Devotional. He also is the Co-founder and President of Shepherds Group, a pastoral ministry team guiding churches and Christian non-profits in their capital campaign ventures. With a heart for the outdoors, he enjoys hunting, fishing and golf….but they all pale in comparison to his family. He and his wife, Ginger, have two married sons involved in ministry, a married daughter who is a professional photographer and an ever-growing quiver of grandchildren.

    July 2, 2018

“In the land of Uz there lived a man who name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.” Job 1:1 Some believe the book of Job is the oldest book in the Bible. Regardless, the issue of suffering leads the list in the most difficult questions to reconcile…

“To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.”  (Colossians 1:29) “Full court press!”  I heard it from the bench!  Our basketball coach, during the fourth period of the game, yelled it so loudly that the opposing team thought that they were to do the same.  Man-on-man defense…

“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, ‘King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If the God we serve is able to deliver us, then he will deliver us from the blazing furnace and from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to…

Listening to the Voice of God

    June 28, 2018

“When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.” (Matthew 1:24) Probably the most under-rated character in the entire Bible is Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus.  Overshadowed by Mary’s role of mother, he is a quiet but strong man, value-driven, but…

    The Headings of Leadership

    June 27, 2018

“Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.  Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful…
