Struggling With God’s Will
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:8-9
Sometimes, life feels like a struggle because we can only see part of what God is doing. It’s like looking at a small corner of a massive canvas—we don’t have the full picture yet. Experiencing God’s will can be hard to understand, especially when suffering is involved—whether in our own lives or in the lives of those we love.
Many theologians believe that the oldest book in the Bible is Job, likely because suffering is such a universal part of the human condition. Job endured unimaginable loss—his wealth, his health, and even his children. And instead of receiving support from those closest to him, he was met with discouragement. His wife even told him, “Job, you are so bad off, why don’t you just curse God and die?” (Job 2:9).
But Job didn’t get to go around his suffering; he had to walk straight through it. Though God eventually restored his life, Job never received all the answers to his suffering on this side of eternity. And yet, his story continues to be a source of encouragement for those who are trying to trust God through difficult seasons.
Maybe you’re in a tough place right now—struggling physically, financially, in your family, or in your work. You’re trying to figure things out, but nothing seems to come together. Every time you think you have a grip on things, they slip through your fingers like sand. Experiencing God's will can feel like a battle, but even when we don’t understand, we can trust that God is still working. His ways are higher, His thoughts are greater, and His plans are always good—even when we can’t see the full picture yet.

I'm always wondering what God is doing in each situation of my life. Wondering who is going to benefit for what I am doing for Christ. I follow His will diligently praying I am being a faithful servant.
