Restoring Broken Relationships
"Jesus said, 'Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that He had said these things to her." – John 20:17-18
The first thing Jesus did in His attempt to re-establish His broken relationships was that He communicated to Mary and the disciples that He was all right. He told them that He was not destroyed by their rejection and abandonment. This is critical because if your security is wrapped up in your relationship with the offender, and that relationship has been shattered, you will have a difficult time.
Unfaithfulness or some other hurtful action can shatter a relationship. However, if your security is dependent upon your relationship with the Lord, you will be able to communicate that you are all right.
After the resurrection, Jesus could have held onto the pain of betrayal—Peter’s denial, Judas’s betrayal, and the disciples’ abandonment. Instead, He chose restoration. By communicating to Mary and the disciples that He was alive and victorious, He revealed His security in the Father. His confidence was not based on their actions but on His relationship with God.
When we face broken relationships, we must first anchor our identity and healing in Jesus. Restoration starts when we can communicate that we are secure, not because the situation is fixed, but because we trust God to sustain us.

I'm so glad that I have Jesus in my life. I have experienced some shattered relationships without Jesus in my life. I had a hard time dealing with life without that person. Since I have Jesus I can go to Him to help me focus on what is going on around me. Life goes on and I do what I can to restore any broken relationship.
I needed that today i need to have my focus on Jesus and not the hurt if my heart from my grown daughter.
I am resting and trusting in Jesus as I wait for my prodigal daughter. She turned her back on me 8 months ago. Jesus knows, He hears my prayers, He knows my heart ?❤️
