But Wait, There's More
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. — 2 Corinthians 5:20
Do you remember Ron Popeil? The late-night infomercial king? He marketed a device that could supposedly slice a tomato so thin it only had one side. But there was one phrase he said over and over: "But wait, there's more!" That phrase captures the Christian life. Just when you think you've grasped what it means to follow Jesus, there's more.
In 1 Thessalonians 1:6, Paul describes a church that loved the Gospel even in the middle of persecution. They welcomed the message with joy, even while suffering. What is the Gospel? Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood to cover all your sin, to give you a relationship with God the Father. But wait — there's more. He came alive from the grave.
And He's coming again!
Recently, we lost one of our members, Ann Hickey. Ann was in her early sixties. She wanted her service focused on the Lord Jesus Christ. All she wanted was for me to share the Gospel. Her husband Dave shared it clearly. Their desire was to point people to Christ.
Dave often passes out "CPR" cards — Critical Path to Redemption. He attaches a ten-dollar bill to each card. At the service, Dave told guests to take these and give them to people they encounter. He had 200, and he didn't want any left. He said, "I want to share Christ. It's all about the Gospel." In profound grief, Dave was still thinking about how to reach people with Jesus. That's what it looks like when you love the Gospel.
You are an ambassador for Christ. Do you know what an ambassador is? It's someone who represents their country while in another country. In this world, you represent heaven. The moment you gave your life to Christ, God changed you from the inside out.
As long as you have breath, you are destined to share Jesus. When people come in contact with you during difficult times, they're more open to hearing what you say. Don't be afraid of problems. God will often open doors when you get squeezed. Use those opportunities to share Christ.
Who is God putting in your path this week? Don't miss it. Be bold. Because there's always more.

THE LORD KEEPS LAYING ON MY HEART TO SHARE CHRIST AND I PRAY THAT I CONTINUE TO DO THAT IN THE NEW YEAR . PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE AMMUNITION!!
Yes so true. We need to keep Jesus alive in this world. We need to believe and never doubt. He is always with us in our prayers and he will never leave us. I have pain in my lower back and tinnitus. I pray to him every day and I know he is listening. He will get me thru this but I have to keep believing that he has me in his arms. God bless.
May I be bold in sharing the plan of salvation.
Yes, it was indeed a Jesus honoring service. Let us continue to proclaim the message of Jesus and His redemption through the Cross.
What do the CPR cards say?
