It’s Only Jesus
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. – John 14:6
Many people think that the way you get to heaven is just to go to church, be a good person, and love your brother as yourself. All of that is important, but you don't have the power to do that consistently without having a relationship with Jesus.
Do you know why? Sin! We were born with a sinful nature and we perfect that nature as time goes on. Until we admit our sin, turn from our sin, and place our faith in Jesus, we have never accepted God's provision for our lives. Those who have never received Jesus have rejected God's provision. By doing so, they have rejected God!
God sent His Son Jesus to die for you because He wanted to provide a way for you to spend eternity in heaven with Him and have a relationship with Him. He loved you that much. Have you accepted His provision by beginning a relationship with Him?
If you have never given your life to Jesus, I pray that today would be the day that you would celebrate that now you are forgiven. I pray that the light would come on and you would not try to substitute baptism, communion, or membership in any church as your ticket to heaven.
Remember, it is only Jesus!
