Paying Attention to God
Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. (Hebrews 2:1)
The other day at our Men's Prayer Breakfast, I had to start the gathering and lead the men in a word of prayer. All the guys were talking, and scurrying around visiting with one another. To silence their conversations, I had to say, “Let me have your attention.”
I don't mind raising my voice. (I love doing it at church because my wife doesn't let me do it at home.) I had to shout, and everyone heard me because my voice was loud enough. It got their attention and they all quieted down, and we were able to pray.
Sometimes, God has to send someone with a loud voice to enter our lives, to get our attention. Have you noticed that we don't ever stop long enough to listen to God until something tragic, something life-changing gets our attention?
It is not when God is blessing you that you are seeking Him. It is when you are flat on your back and there is no hope. Jesus must resolve the issue in your life physically when a doctor has given you a bad prognosis. It certainly gets your attention when there are problems in your family. Likewise, it gets your attention when there is trouble financially.
Let me ask you a question. Does God have your attention right now? I pray He does. I pray He doesn’t need a loud voice to wake you up and get your attention to look at Him. If He needs to, God will use a loud voice. Do you know why? Because He not only longs for your attention, but He deserves your full attention. When you are completely focused on God, He can readily do a work in you. Are you paying attention to God and listening to Him?

I try to listen to Him. It is hard when I am out in the world. Yet, there are things that happen that I know He is looking out for me and those around me
God's Love is what keeps me going. There are Days when things don't go the way you hope. I look to GOD for His Word. It's NOT always easy, but he's always there. Thank you Lord . PRAISE GOD !
