Spiritual Alignment
Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing, and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)
Andrew Murray said many of us need to understand what prayer is. He said, “Prayer is not so much trying to get God to align with you, but rather it helps you align with where God is going.” This is exactly what needs to happen in our lives.
Don't just come into church, watch a program, or read this devotional and say, “Well, that fixed me up today.” It is an everyday choice. In every moment, say, “God, I want my thinking to align with you. I want my life to align with you. I want my steps to align with you.” When you fall down and admit that your steps are going in the opposite direction, and you turn to Christ; things will change, and peace will come. That is what our world needs. Although you might not be able to change the world, you can change the direction where you are headed. That is a personal choice.
If you have never given your life to Christ, I pray that today would be the day when you would turn from sin and place your faith in Christ. I pray that the light would go on, and God would reveal to you with a spotlight upon your life, how you are standing with Him right now.
If you are a believer, and you have given your life to Christ, what has happened, what has caused you to take a step back? What has caused you to say, “I'm just going to be a casual observer now, rather than be a participant?” What has caused that? I will answer that question for you. It is choosing to see things like the world sees them and living like the world.
Unfortunately, we spend more time with people who influence us to live for ourselves than spending adequate time with the Father alone in our prayer closet. I pray that starting right now, you will make sure that every moment and every desire aligns with Him. If necessary, I hope you will drive your car in for a “spiritual alignment,” so that the journey ahead can be more aligned with Christ’s plan for you. You don’t want to get stuck in a detour chasing your own plans.

I was at Westside taking everything in each and loving it. I felt God tugging at my heart to go in another direction. I am currently at a smaller church that needs to have God tugging at their hearts to get more involved. There is much to do. I am in a few different ministries to help reach the unsaved I now have more friends. I really miss being at Westside and all the excitement but know God has more for me to do. I love serving the Lord. And spending time with Him in the process
God has Blessed ME every day of My Life. Thank You JESUS !
