Run to God
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Philippians 4:19-20)
When life gets busy and you have a million things to do, who do you look to for help? Who do you seek for encouragement, peace, and guidance? Do you call your best friend? Do you talk to your spouse? Do you go to your parents? Typically, these are the people who we seek when we are searching for help and encouragement. Even though these people can be great sources for those things, they shouldn’t be the first ones we seek.
Isn't it odd that the Owner, Maker, and Creator of this universe is often the most overlooked One of all? It is sad to see how many Christ followers view Jesus as their last resort rather than their first call.
In our flesh, we often look at our friends, family members or our employers and say, “I am where I am because of you.” We do this rather than realizing we are where we are right now only by the grace of God.
We turn to our friends or our employer to solve our problems. We look to our family to fix us, but only Jesus can set us in the right order. Only He can satisfy our hearts. Only He can steer us in the right direction 100 percent of the time. Only Jesus can give us everything we need in our greatest time of need.
Think about who you turn to first when life gets crazy, difficult or overwhelming. If you are turning to anyone other than your Savior, remember that He is your best friend no matter what you are experiencing. He will never leave you nor let you down. He will always give you exactly what your heart and soul need to keep going.

Amen, Amen . Thank You Jesus
I think we go to someone for answers because we expect God to answer us right away. If He doesn't then we look to someone who will. I need to keep remembering that Jesus is my best friend and won't ever leave me. Thank you for your reminders
Thank You Jesus! Amen.
I 🙠pray that we all, as Christians, seek out our Father more frequently for our help, comfort, compassion and Love ... He alone knows us, and Loves us, more intimately than even we know ourselves.
God knows Us better than We know ourselves. He's Always there when No one else is. I Believe in JESUS, I Praise The FATHER for his Love and Mercy. GLORY TO GOD !
Amen! Thank you Lord and Dr. Dodd. Great devotion!
