Do Not Worry
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of god, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
With everything we are juggling in our lives, we can be anxious about many things. We worry about our family, our friends, our job, our finances, our health, and all kinds of other things. Scripture is very clear that we should flee from anxiety and worry.
Choosing to avoid worrying is not an option; rather, it is a biblical command! Paul states in his letter to the Philippians, Do not be anxious about anything. (Philippians 4:6) He doesn’t stop there. He continues on, encouraging the Philippians (and us today) to bring everything we are worried about to God.
Do not miss what Paul is saying when we present our worries and requests to the Lord. He doesn’t say that God will answer our prayers exactly how we desire. He doesn’t say we will always get our way. He doesn’t tell us that answers will come exactly when we hoped. He doesn’t promise any of those things. Instead, he assures us that we will experience a deep level of peace that only the Lord can provide. He says, And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4: 7)
In other words, we don’t need to worry about anything because worrying doesn’t get you anywhere. When something is out of our control, it is tempting to worry about it. Instead, we must choose to bring our anxieties and our requests to our Heavenly Father. Only then will we experience true, supernatural peace in the midst of our worldly troubles.

Thank You, Jesus for caring for me
Amen. I struggle in this area and pray God's mercy and grace. Where does my help come from; my help comes from the LORD; Maker of heaven and earth. Amen.🙠Psalm 121:1
Dear Dr.Dobson.
I was told by a friend a few months ago when I was clinically depressed that it was a SIN to worry. Is this true? I don't see in the Bible where Jesus, Paul or anyone said it is.
Thank You FATHER for Loving Us and Making a Way . JESUS !
Thank you Dr. Dodd! I have said before but I LOVE your devotionals! They are so practical and usually exactly what I needed to hear. Im appreciative for that. I struggle in this area. Prayers would be appreciated!
