Communing With God
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. – James 4:8
Many Christians today tend to focus on the externals rather than the internals of our spiritual lives. We get things upside down and that creates much confusion and frustration because we tend to focus more on serving God than communing with Him.
If there is no intimacy with the Lord in your life, then the purpose of God in and through your life will not happen. The intimacy with God in our lives needs to be pulsating, vibrant, and thriving. Unless your communion with God is alive and well, your service to God will be unfulfilling. Also, your ministry will be frustrating and disappointing unless the communion you have with God is strong.
You will hear the message of being involved, serving, and doing things for the Kingdom of God as guilt rather than correction. This happens when your communion and intimacy with God are lacking. We are seduced by our culture to think that success is based on worldly standards. That means activity. If we can get busy, then we are doing the will of God. But the reality is that “busyness” is often a substitute for intimacy.
If we really want to be ambassadors for Christ, we need to find out what our walking orders are. That guidance and direction will flow out of our communion with Him. We need to be mature children of God and spend time alone with Him so that we can know what He wants us to do and how He wants us to live.

I wouldn't be in any ministries if I didn't have an intimate relationship with Jesus. I serve Him out of love for Him and His people and the lost. I couldn't function properly without Him
I Realize More every day How Much I need GOD and JESUS in My Life. Thank YOU Lord JESUS !
This is so true, paying tithes and attending service is not enough. You must have daily communion with the other efforts. Reading g my devotional each morning is how I e gone back to starting my day. It's powerful
