The Lord’s Protection
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. (Psalm 34:7)
In the world we live in, we might be afraid of many things. We could worry about a million different circumstances and possibilities. However, I want to counter the worries you might be facing with some encouragement.
You are invincible until God is through with you on this planet. Let me say that again, to emphasize it further. “You are invincible until God is through with you.” There is absolutely nothing on this earth that can outsmart or outwork the sovereignty of our Heavenly Father; and that should give us a great deal of peace.
Because the Lord has sent His angels to watch over us and protect us, we receive additional peace. Psalm 34:7 reminds us about this. We can draw much comfort from this promise; however, we should remember to focus on God, and not on the angels.
Whether or not you have personally had an encounter with an angel, don’t get so enamored with angels that you forget who is ultimately in control. Angels are here to serve us and to help us, but God is the One directing them to do so.
Therefore, let’s be grateful and thank the Lord for angels. More importantly, let’s thank Him for our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the one who is protecting you. He is providing for you, comforting you, and encouraging you. As you rest in those truths, make the choice to stand for Christ this week. Be bold and courageous. Use the time you have on this planet to tell other people about Jesus. Remember, you are invincible for as long as the Lord wants you on this earth. Accordingly, live with that confidence today, knowing you are being guided and protected by God Himself.
