Surrender Your Life to Christ
Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her. (John 20:17-18)
The resurrection experience that these women had was very powerful. Mary Magdalene had a special encounter with the resurrected Christ. Jesus told her, “I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” It was a moment in time when things would never again be the same.
Do you know what He was saying? “You are part of a new family now because of the cross.” This is God's family. We were not born into this world in God's family. We were born with our backs toward God, wanting to do what we desired. When we surrender our lives to Christ, we are born again into God's family. As we turn from sin and place our faith in Christ, God then becomes our God, and He becomes our Father.
The Bible tells us very clearly that a Holy God cannot have a relationship with an unholy man, woman, boy, or girl. You have to fully surrender your life to the Lord, acknowledge you are a sinner in need of a Savior, and choose to follow Him for the rest of your life.
Has there been a moment in your life when you have turned from sin and placed your faith in Christ? I pray there has been. If not, today could be the day! You can make this Easter Sunday a very memorable day for you!
God wants you to be in His family. You are adopted into His family when you allow Him to adopt you. That means you throw your hands up and say, “Lord, I don't bring anything to you except my sin.” That’s all you need to do. When you lay that at the cross of Christ, you will receive what Jesus did for you; He shed His perfect, innocent blood to cover you, and take away all of your sins, past, present, and future. At that moment, you become part of the family of God. Make that happen today!

Before I gave Jesus my heart, I felt like I was a puzzle with a piece missing. I had already accepted Jesus as my Savior but I hadn't given Him my all, yet. Once I gave Him my heart I have felt like I found that missing puzzle piece. We now have a wonderful relationship that keeps growing â¤
I spent my whole life missing puzzle pieces until finally I couldn't take the pain anymore and asked for God's help. That's the day I fully accepted Jesus with all my heart and now have a daily relationship with him that brings me no other kind of peace and joy. The peace Jesus gives is not comparable to anything else. John 14:27 ðŸ‘💕ðŸ™
