A Baptism Celebration
Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. – Acts 2:38
Baptism is like a big celebration where we show others that we've decided to follow Jesus. It's like wearing a jersey to show which team you're on. But remember, it's not the jersey that makes you a part of the team. It's your love for the game and your commitment to play.
Likewise, baptism doesn't save us. It's not like a magic spell that washes away our sins. Only Jesus can do that. Baptism is more like a public announcement of what's already happened in our hearts. It’s an outward declaration of an inward decision to give your life to Christ. When we choose to follow Jesus, it's a big deal! And baptism is a way to tell the world about it.
Imagine you're at a party, and everyone's celebrating because you've joined the team. That's what baptism is like. It's a joyful moment where we declare to everyone that we belong to Jesus.

I grew up thinking that I had to be baptized or I wouldn't be able to go to heaven. It wasn't until I accepted Jesus as my Savior that I learned that baptism was an outward showing of that acceptance. I see so many people that get baptized and then you never see them again. Hopefully they are living their lives for Jesus
