Be Astute
The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. (1 Peter 4:7)
The apostle Peter, writing to the early Christians, reminds them of the urgency of their situation and the necessity of being watchful. Simon Peter is saying, “I want you to be astute. The end of all things is near.”
You need to know about the Second Coming of Christ. You need to understand that God has a plan to bring everything to an end. The Book of Revelation reveals God's plan for the end of time. It is carefully laid out for us as believers. We don't realize how fortunate we are as compared to the First Century Christians. God has given us the game plan. Therefore, we need to be astute and understand what will happen next.
You don't have to make it difficult; it is not hard. Many people say, “The Book of Revelation is difficult to understand.” No, it is not if you just take it verse-by-verse. It is important for us as believers to be astute to God's timing and plan. We are to live our lives inserted into God's plan. We must not say, “I don't know what will happen next.” Yes, you do. It is written in the Word of God. Although we may not know the exact timing, we can see the seasons.
We need to be astute believers. We need to know what the Word of God says about last things. We should live every day as if Jesus is coming tomorrow!

I will keep reading the Bible and and be obedient to follow Jesus 's teachings. To make disciples of all people
My eyes are being opened daily my goal is to stay focused and recognize when the enemy tries to distract me.
@Darrel Green- Taking the time to recognize what's staring us in the face would seem an easy proposition. But it's probably the most difficult thing for us humans to do. We spend a lot of time denying those things that we do not want to deal with. When we give our lives to Jesus, we break through that wall and deny ourselves. With Jesus at our side using God's word for instructions, we can face, see and recognize, and live with our problems. Jesus overcame the world, and so shall we. For me, this is where the peace and joy God promises, comes from. In your recognition of the truth may you also experience all the joy and peace of God.
