Seek Godly Wisdom
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. (James 1:5)
Do you know where you get wisdom? From the Word of God. Wisdom is the Word of God which is applied practically to your life to show you how to live. Therefore, when you accept Christ, you are coming to Him who is completely wise. He has all the wisdom you need to take the next step in your life.
Sometimes, when you are young, you ask for advice. You should ask your elders, someone who has already walked that bridge, and traveled that road. Ask someone who has experienced something before you have been there. When we come to Jesus and we are trying to hear His voice through His Word, He gives us direction for our life. For the very next step, He has all the wisdom and advice you need.
You don't need to talk to everyone about what you should do, or where you should stand. When you come to Christ, you should ask Him, “Jesus, what do you want me to do? What is the next step for my life, Lord?” The moment you start aligning yourself with that kind of lifestyle, you will find peace, confidence, and assurance.
That is how He wants us to live. That is what He wants our church to do. He wants His children to align with His voice through His Word, because He has all the wisdom, and the practical application for our lives.
