Know Who You Are
For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:17-18)
The apostle Paul made it extremely clear what he was intending to do with his life. Focused and clear, he realized that his one responsibility was to share the message of the cross with everyone he encountered. Like a laser beam, he had one agenda, one goal in mind: tell people about Christ. Sometimes, it is easy for us to lose sight of the most important thing any of us could ever do, this is point people to Christ. Just like Paul, we must take advantage of each and every opportunity to drive this point home.
Just think about this for a moment. When time is no more, what message do you want trailing behind your life’s work? Do you want a legacy of hard work, good works, and loving memories to be carried in your wake? Or do you desire to see people in heaven who are there because you gave, you loved, and you served to point them to the Savior?
How do you preach like Paul? Most of us will never have the privilege to stand behind a pulpit and preach with passion the message of the cross to a dying world. Many of us will never be offered a place of influence before a television audience to proclaim the name of Jesus. Although Paul had opportunities to preach the Gospel in various places to highly diverse audiences, his primary legacy is through his New Testament writings. These were written mainly from a prison cell.
Use whatever platform the Lord has provided you this day to share the message of the Gospel with others. Whether it is through your pen or computer, via your hands or words, just make sure people know your passion about sharing Christ with them.

I know I belong to Christ. I need to speak out more to the unsaved.
