A Sacrifice Of Praise
"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise–the fruit of lips that openly profess his name." – Hebrews 13:15
The Bible tells us that we should continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God. This isn’t just about singing worship songs on Sunday; it’s about making praise a part of our everyday life. Why? Because praise shifts our focus from ourselves to Jesus.
When we get caught up in our own feelings, needs, and desires, we can become self-centered and miss the bigger picture. If you think church is all about you—how you feel, what you get out of it—then your focus is off. Worship is not about us, it’s about Him.
Offering a sacrifice of praise means praising God even when it’s hard, even when we don’t feel like it. It’s putting Him first and honoring Him regardless of our circumstances. And when we do that, something amazing happens: we stop focusing so much on ourselves.
Focusing on Jesus is always in our best interest. When we praise Him, we’re reminded of who He is—faithful, loving, powerful—and that takes the pressure off of us. We begin to see that life is not just about how we feel, but about giving Him glory.
My prayer is that today, you will choose to offer that sacrifice of praise. Let your focus be on Jesus, not yourself. When you make this choices, you’ll be amazed at the change that will come.

I love living my life for Jesus. My world is so much more brighter. I feel like it gives my life purpose. To be shining for Jesus and to be a witness to the unsaved.
