Faith Begins Where Striving Ends
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
– Psalm 46:10
In our fast-paced lives, we often find ourselves striving for control, wrestling with uncertainty, and pushing through situations on our own strength. But God invites us to a different approach. Faith begins at the end of ourselves, at the moment when we realize we cannot achieve salvation or transformation on our own. Faith is casting ourselves fully on Christ, accepting His mercy, and letting go of the need to have all the answers.
True faith is a gift that comes through the Holy Spirit, bringing us to the place where we admit our weakness and surrender to God’s strength. Whether you came to this point early in life or later on, this surrender marks the beginning of a daily walk with Him.
Every day, God invites us to seek Him, to open His Word, to pray, and to wait on Him. Psalm 46:10 calls us to “be still,” reminding us that faith is not found in constant activity but in quiet surrender. It’s in the stillness that we see God’s faithfulness and feel His peace.
Today, I want to encourage you to take a moment to pause, set aside your striving, and rest in the presence of God. Let Him be the anchor for your soul and the strength that carries you through every unknown. Faith flourishes not in the effort but in the quiet surrender to the One who is always in control.

I am thankful for each opportunity that I have to spend time with my Heavenly Father
I just want to thank you for the words of encouragement found in the Bible from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
