Praying In The Waiting
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! – Psalm 27:14
Sometimes, we don’t learn how to pray until we learn how to wait. Waiting has a way of stripping us of control and forcing us to depend fully on God. It’s not easy, and it often feels uncomfortable. But it’s in the waiting that God shapes our faith and prepares us for His perfect answer.
Isaac knew this kind of waiting. God had given Abraham a promise to make his descendants as numerous as the stars, yet that promise seemed to rest entirely on Isaac. When Isaac married Rebekah, she couldn’t have children. Imagine the weight of waiting for God to fulfill a promise that seemed impossible.
Instead of giving up or taking matters into his own hands, Isaac prayed. He asked God where He was and what He was doing. He persisted in prayer, trusting that God would answer at the right time. And God did. He chose the perfect time and place to bless Rebekah with children.
Waiting for an answer to prayer is a spiritual thing to say but a difficult thing to do. It requires us to trust God’s timing over our own and believe that He is working, even when we can’t see it.
So, when you’re in a season of waiting, pray. Ask God your questions, like we talked about yesterday. Pour out your heart to Him. And as you wait, remember that God’s timing is never late, His promises never fail, and His answers are always worth the wait.

I will wait for the Lord
I like how you put "Waiting for an answer to prayer is a spiritual thing to say but a difficult thing to do." It is so true, we are quick to say the "spiritual thing", but slow to DO the spiritual thing!
I so agree! Praise God for this wonderful daily post to draw my wandering mind back to our loving Father.
