Let Your Light Shine
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:14-16
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus describes His children as the salt of the earth and the light of the world. The hope for our country lies within the church and God’s people who have been made holy by the blood of Jesus. As salt preserves and flavors, we are called to preserve truth and bring the flavor of God’s love into a broken world. As light, we are to shine brightly, reflecting God’s goodness and leading others to glorify Him.
That is why it is important to live a life that honors God above all things. The way you live matters—it shows the world who God is and what He can do in a life surrendered to Him. You are ready for what is to come, regardless of what it is. Be expectant and proactive, faithfully serving until Jesus comes again.
It would not surprise me if Jesus came back soon. With every passing day, we are only a short time away. Until that glorious day, let us live as salt and light, boldly proclaiming, “Come, Jesus, come.” Let your light shine today so that others may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

I will follow Jesus
As always God’s message is clear, be lights, the darkness is all around, but one small candle gives enough light for next steps. It does not need to be big, just present daily as we walk before our ABBA Father seeking His guidance.
