Embracing Your Second Chance
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. - Lamentations 3:22-23
We’ve all made mistakes. Maybe it was a bad decision, a missed opportunity, or a failure that haunts us. It’s easy to feel like we’ve used up all our chances. But God is not like that. His compassion is new every morning, meaning that today is a fresh start.
Think about Jonah—he ran from God’s call, ended up in the belly of a great fish, and still received another chance to obey. God’s patience and grace extend to you in the same way. No matter how far you’ve strayed, you can turn back to Him today.
Maybe you’ve let your spiritual life drift. Maybe you’ve neglected prayer or struggled with sin. Maybe you feel unworthy of a second chance. But here’s the truth: God delights in giving new beginnings. His mercies are fresh every morning, and He stands ready to restore and renew you.
