Finding Jesus in Every Page
He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. (Luke 24:25-27)
Can you imagine walking seven miles with Jesus as He personally unpacked the entire Old Testament? That's exactly what happened to these two disciples on the road to Emmaus. Jesus explained how every Scripture pointed to Him.
I love going to Israel and engaging with Jewish people who deeply respect the Old Testament. When I talk with them about what their Scriptures say about Jesus, I'm doing exactly what Jesus did on that dusty road. He knew the Bible in great detail because He wrote it!
Think about it: In Genesis, Jesus is the Breath of Life. In Exodus, He's the Passover Lamb. In Psalms, He's our Shepherd. In Isaiah, He's the Prince of Peace. The whole Bible - from Genesis to Revelation - is about Jesus Christ!
Too many churches today talk about God but rarely mention Jesus. When I was in seminary, I visited a church full of theologians and professors. The pastor was a wonderful speaker, but I heard Jesus' name mentioned only once - in the closing prayer. Something was missing in that place.
People who only talk about God don't understand who Jesus is. He is very God of very God and very man of very man! He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! All Scripture speaks of Him!
This is why we study both the Old and New Testaments. This is why we never graduate from Sunday School. I have several advanced theological degrees, yet I still learn new things from God's Word every day. His Word is fresh every morning.
We are a Jesus church. We talk about Him. We pray in Jesus' name. We call people to repent and receive forgiveness through His shed blood. Whatever Jesus said, we support. While denominations may change their theology, we stand on God's Word.
Today, open your Bible to any book - Old Testament or New - and ask the Holy Spirit to show you Jesus in those pages. You'll be amazed at what you discover when you look for Him throughout all of Scripture.

I love to read God's Word every day. I learn new things all the time.
Praising God for Jesus and his shed blood for my sin and the sin of the world. Jesus is Lord, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Thank you, Jesus for your mercy, grace and salvation. Through your shed blood and stripes we are healed and Satan has been defeated. Through your resurrection, we will be resurrected too! We can walk in victory in Christ Jesus and in the power of your name the name above all names Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Lord, King, and Savior of our souls!! Praise God! Hallelujah!!
My husband and I read the Bible daily and discuss what we read it's a blessing
