Are You Stuck In Your Sin?
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
The difference between someone who is a believer and someone who is not a believer is like the difference between a hog and a sheep. When a hog falls into the mud, it says, “Honey, I'm home.” When a sheep falls into the mud, it will either get out or die trying to get out of the mud.
If you are a child of God, you will never be happy living in a life of sin. If you are a child of God, you will either try to get out of that sin or die trying to get out of it. You will break that sinful habit and not be happy until that stronghold is pulled down. You will live the rest of your life trying to see God's power overcome your weakness. On the other hand, if you are not a child of God, you will just give in and lay down. You will simply say, “Man, this is where I need to be.”
I pray that today you would realize that God's work inside of you is not finished. None of us are finished products. You and I will not go around judging someone and saying, “They are not a Christian, they are a Christian. They are not a Christian. They are a Christian!” You don't know. If someone saw you in your behavior at times, they would look at you and say, “You are such a hypocrite. And that's why I don't go to church. It’s full of hypocrites.” Because we all mess up. We all make mistakes. We all fall short. And we all struggle with sin at one point or another.
Maybe you have been wrestling with sin in your life. If you are a child of God, you will never be totally fulfilled until you see the power of God break that sin in your life. He wants you to do that. He is in the process of doing that to set you free, and He will do whatever it takes to set you free. When He has His way with you, then you will see Him as the only hope for your future.
