Dealing With Doubt
“If you can, will you heal him?” Jesus says, “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:23-24)
Yesterday, we talked about what it looks like to pray in faith. Praying big prayers can be scary, especially when what you’re asking for seems impossible. But we serve a big God who is capable of anything.
But did you know that when it comes to praying in faith, there are some things that can intercept your prayers? That’s right. Certain postures of our hearts can affect our prayers in a negative way, and I don’t want that to be the case in your life. So let’s look at one of those interceptors now.
One of the biggest interceptors when it comes to praying in faith is doubt. Doubt says this, “I know God can, but He probably won't.” Many of us think like that. We really believe and we will say, “Amen.” God wants to bless me abundantly, but we say, “He probably won't.” Many of us have this negative mindset we default to; we think it will be a miracle if God does something in our lives.
The reality is that none of us deserve for God to bless us, nor to even use us, but God does have a plan. For many of us, we are stuck, just like the man in Mark. When he had a son who needed to be healed, he said this to Jesus, “If you can, will you heal him?” Jesus says, “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:23-24)
Because of doubt, many of us are drawn into thinking, “I don't deserve for God to do anything in my life. I've lived such a horrible life; I don't deserve anything.” That’s right, you don't, but our God is a great God. He is a gracious God. He wants you to believe and trust Him.
Remember, He wants you to move from being on your own to leaning on Him. He can help you if you will push through that doubt and remember that God will bless you abundantly. Just as Paul wrote, “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).
Remember that Scripture. It will help you deal with the issues of doubt in your life.

To doubt God's ability to "Work in Our Lives" is to give Satan a foothold .. as with All aspects of our lives, we must first Believe, then Trust and Obey The One True God who Loves and Cares for us so very much !! He will never leave us or forsake us !!
I witnessed miracles happen. I have seen prayers get answered. God is a big loving God.
