Do Not Worry
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of god, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
With everything we are juggling in our lives, we can be anxious about many things. We worry about our family, our friends, our job, our finances, our health, and all kinds of other things. Scripture is very clear that we should flee from anxiety and worry.
Choosing to avoid worrying is not an option; rather, it is a biblical command! Paul states in his letter to the Philippians, Do not be anxious about anything. (Philippians 4:6) He doesn’t stop there. He continues on, encouraging the Philippians (and us today) to bring everything we are worried about to God.
Do not miss what Paul is saying when we present our worries and requests to the Lord. He doesn’t say that God will answer our prayers exactly how we desire. He doesn’t say we will always get our way. He doesn’t tell us that answers will come exactly when we hoped. He doesn’t promise any of those things. Instead, he assures us that we will experience a deep level of peace that only the Lord can provide. He says, And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4: 7)
In other words, we don’t need to worry about anything because worrying doesn’t get you anywhere. When something is out of our control, it is tempting to worry about it. Instead, we must choose to bring our anxieties and our requests to our Heavenly Father. Only then will we experience true, supernatural peace in the midst of our worldly troubles.

I believe it's human nature to worry. Sometimes life just happened. But thank God for this verse that clearly explains to us that we can bring all our worries to our heavenly Father Jesus Christ amen!
I do have times when I worry about some things. I leave those things in God's hands knowing that He will work things out. ?
Thank you, Dr. Dodd. This is one of my favorite verses because I worry a lot and bringing all our concerns to God with prayer brings us peace.
I just out of a relationship and worry and trying too let go is so very hard for me. And i pray about it all the time, but so hard to let go please pray for me. I was in love, but we just wasn’t compatible we dated about a year. I know I’m just venting here on this, but please pray for me.
The bills keeps me awake every night but thanks God for him i have some to surrender to and stop worrying.
