A Fresh Encounter
"Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.'" — John 20:29
What restores a broken faith?
Not arguments. Not evidence. Not someone trying to convince you that you should believe. What restores faith is an encounter with the risen Christ.
The disciples had lost everything. Their faith was shattered, their hope was gone, and fear had replaced love in their hearts. No amount of reasoning could have fixed them. No theological lecture would have put them back together.
But then Jesus appeared.
He showed them His hands. He showed them His side. He breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit." And in that moment, everything changed. Their faith was restored, their hope was reclaimed, and their love was released. Not because they figured something out, but because they encountered Someone.
The same is true for you.
Maybe trauma has stolen your faith. Maybe disappointment has crushed your hope. Maybe fear has locked up the love that used to flow freely from your life. You've tried to talk yourself back into believing, but it hasn't worked.
You don't need more information. You need a fresh encounter with Jesus.
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13).
Just as Jesus initiated revealing Himself to His disciples, He desires to reveal Himself to you today. He wants to restore what life has stolen. He wants to give back what trauma has taken. And all it requires is for you to stop striving and start seeking.
Open your heart. Tell Him where you are. And let Him meet you there.
