Your Best Days
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" — Isaiah 43:18-19
Do you believe your best days are behind you?
When a detour hits, it's easy to start looking backward. You remember when things were easier, when opportunities were open, when life made sense. The past starts to look golden compared to the uncertain road ahead.
But here's what God wants you to understand: your best days are not behind you. They're ahead.
Life is a journey, and nothing stays the same. Though you and I would love for things to stay the same, they simply don't. Seasons change. Circumstances shift. What worked yesterday may not work tomorrow. And that can feel disorienting.
But if you will realize that God has a plan for your life, that He is still in charge, that He has taken hold of your right hand and will guide you step by step, it will produce greater optimism as you look forward to the days to come.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
The detour isn't the end of your story. It's a plot twist. God isn't finished writing, and the best chapters may be ones you haven't even imagined yet.
Stop mourning what was. Start trusting what will be. Your best days are ahead.
