You Are God’s Best
"As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." — John 20:21
Do you know what you are to the people God has placed in your life?
When Paul needed someone to check on the believers in Thessalonica, he didn't send leftovers. He sent Timothy, his son in ministry, his right-hand man, his best. And in doing so, Paul was mirroring what God Himself had done. God didn't send second-string help to rescue humanity. He sent His Son. He sent His best.
Now here's the part that might surprise you: you are God's best for someone right now.
If God has opened a door for you to be involved in someone's life, you are exactly who they need at this moment in time. Not because you're perfect or because you have all the answers, but because God has placed you there. You are His chosen instrument for that person in that season.
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10).
You might not feel like the best. Good. The moment you start feeling like you're the best is usually the moment you become the least helpful. But your feelings don't change the truth: God has selected you, positioned you, and sent you.
Stop waiting to feel qualified. Stop waiting until you have more training or more experience or more confidence. If God has put someone in your path who needs what you have, then you are His best for them right now.
Go. Be sent.
