Before He Trusts You
"Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly." — James 3:1
Are you ready for what you're asking God to give you?
Paul did not jump from his dramatic salvation experience on the road to Damascus straight into public ministry. There was a gap, a long one. Scholars believe it was at least seven years before God trusted him with the platform that would eventually change the world.
Seven years of waiting. Seven years of preparation. Seven years of God developing what He would later deploy.
Many of us are ready to do God's will, or at least we think we are. We want the assignment. We want the impact. We want the influence. But God knows something we often forget: character must be built before calling can be fulfilled.
"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much" (Luke 16:10).
God wants to use you more than you could ever imagine. But He also wants to develop you first. The detour that feels like a delay may actually be a divine development program. The waiting season isn't punishment; it's preparation.
Before God trusts you with public impact, He often does private work. He builds your patience, deepens your dependence, and refines your character in ways that could never happen on a stage.
Don't despise the development. It's the reason He'll eventually be able to trust you with more.
