Jesus Intercedes for You
Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died – more than that, who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. (Romans 8:34)
Take a moment to think about the last time someone said, “I’m praying for you.” How did you feel when you heard those words? For me, hearing that someone is praying for me is very encouraging. It is a wonderful thing when someone carves out time in their day to lift you up to our Heavenly Father.
Do you realize that Jesus is praying for us all the time? Some of the last words Jesus said before He died were prayers for all of humanity. Right now, He is praying to His Father for you. He is praying for your family, your marriage, and your friendships. He is praying for your heart as you are navigating the seasons of waiting, disappointment and uncertainty. He is constantly interceding on your behalf. We should be very encouraged to know that Jesus is praying for us.
Don’t just skim over this passage in your Bible and take it for granted. When you hear that your friends and family are praying for you, it means a lot. Can you comprehend that the Savior of the world is taking time right now to pray for you? This is one of the incredible things about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Whatever you are walking through today, I encourage you to confidently bring your prayers to your Heavenly Father. As you do, I hope you will find comfort in knowing that Jesus is praying right along with you.
