Have you ever been afraid to ask the hard questions about your faith?
I had a man in my church in Houston named Mike Hudek. Mike had a PhD in geology, and because of the way he was educated, he was afraid to look at the Bible from a scientific perspective. He didn't want anything to mess up his faith in Christ. So, he resisted examining Scripture academically or intellectually. He just didn't want to know, just in case it couldn't be validated.
But one day in his quiet time, the Lord whispered to him and said, "You need to go there. You need to look at the Bible intellectually, academically, and understand that it is totally reliable."
So, Mike did. He began asking the hard questions. And you know where he came out? He realized the Word of God was completely reliable. In fact, he would later say, "When my faith would waver, all I would do is pull out my science books and begin to realize we have an awesome Creator."
Friend, God is not intimidated by your questions. He's not afraid of your doubts. He invites you to reason with Him because He knows that honest inquiry leads to deeper faith, not weaker faith. The evidence is on His side.
If there's a question you've been afraid to ask, go there. Dig into it. The truth can handle the scrutiny, and so can your faith.
