He'll Finish What He Started

"being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." — Philippians 1:6
 
Do you ever feel like a work in progress?
 
Good news: you are. And even better news: you're not the one responsible for finishing the job.
 
Paul says the One who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. He started it. He'll finish it. Your salvation wasn't your idea, and it isn't your project to complete on your own. The same God who reached down and saved you is committed to seeing you all the way through.
 
That ought to take enormous pressure off.
 
"The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever—do not abandon the works of your hands" (Psalm 138:8).
 
Think about how you'd feel if you built something halfway and then walked away. God doesn't do that. He doesn't start what He won't finish. He is not going to abandon the work He began in you. The unfinished places, the areas that still need growth, the struggles you keep bringing back to Him, He's still working on all of it.
 
You may not be who you want to be yet. But you're not who you used to be. And you're not yet who He is going to make you. He is still at work.
 
As one month ends and another begins, remember this: the good work in you isn't finished, but it is in faithful hands.
 
He started it. He's still working. And He will complete it.
 
Count on it.
