Give Like the Giver
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Years ago, I was fishing with a couple of buddies in Gonzales, Texas, Bill Story and David Allen. We had a rule that when we go fishing together, we wouldn't talk about office stuff. However, it really didn't apply to me because they would always ask me theological questions.
One of the questions they wanted to talk about was giving. I asked Bill Story (who had a jewelry store) a question. As we were standing beside each other casting lures, trying to catch some bass, I said, “Let me ask you a question, Bill. If you gave and God didn't bless you financially, would you keep giving?” He looked at me and without a moment's hesitation, he said, “Pastor, I have to tell you this. I just need to give, because there's no way I could ever catch up with how much He has blessed me already!”
Do you know what he was saying? I will never be able to out-give God. If God stopped blessing me financially right now, I still have a lot of catching up to do from the past. You and I will never be able to catch up. I want us to be givers. I want us to let it flow.
Do you have the same mentality as my buddy Bill? Do you want to give back to God because of all He has given you? The truth of the matter is that God has been so generous to us. He sacrificed His beloved Son so that He could have a personal relationship with us. What a gift! With that in mind, let’s be generous givers like God!

Yes I agree that you cannot out give the Lord my wife and I have experienced that first hand. No matter how much we give, we always have enough for ourselves and our needs.
God is Grace and MERCY. PRAISE THE FATHER The SON, and The HOLY SPIRIT !
I love being a giver
