Their Story Isn't Over
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him." — John 6:44
Have you ever felt like giving up on someone who seems far from God?
I've learned something over the years in ministry. Salvation is a God thing. He's the One who does the drawing. You and I are just here to help people get the facts and trust that the Spirit of God will do His work. You can't make somebody give their life to Christ, but you can partner with the Lord and let Him use you to lovingly present the truth.
Here's what I want you to hear. For as long as they're breathing, their story is not over.
That family member who seems so hard-hearted? Their story isn't over. That friend who walked away from the faith? Their story isn't over. That coworker who rolls their eyes every time you mention Jesus? Their story isn't over.
God may choose to use you in the life of your child, in the life of your friend, or maybe just briefly in the life of someone He puts across your path for a moment in time. Your job is to be prepared, to share the Scriptures, and to give the Lord time in someone else's life.
Don't give up. Keep praying. Keep loving. Keep being ready. The same God who drew you to Himself is still in the drawing business, and He's not finished with the people you're praying for.
