Do You Know What to Do

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." — Romans 10:13
 
Have you ever been asked a question that cut right to the heart of the matter?
 
When I was in the sixth grade, I walked into a church on a Monday afternoon because I knew I was lost and needed Christ. The pastor there didn't give me a long presentation or walk me through complicated steps. He just looked at me and asked, "Do you know what to do?" I said, "Yes, sir." And he said, "Well, do it."
 
So I prayed a simple prayer of repentance and faith right there. And let me tell you something, it was as if the weight of the world lifted off my shoulders. I got on my bike and rode home, making up a song along the way, just thanking the Lord for saving me and making me His child. I remember the day and the hour. It was that real.
 
Here's the thing. Christianity is not about complicated formulas or religious credentials. One day, when we stand before the Father, He won't be impressed by our degrees, our ministry accomplishments, or our best efforts. The only thing that matters is whether we called on Him.
 
Maybe you've been sitting in church for years, but you can't point to a moment when you turned from your sin and placed your faith in Christ. Maybe you've got facts but not real faith. Can I ask you the same question that pastor asked me? Do you know what to do?
 
Friend, if you know what to do, I'm asking you to do it. Don't wait another day. God is ready to meet you right where you are, and He loves you more than you can imagine.
