The Center of God’s Will
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
You have probably heard this verse many times before. Unfortunately, when we read this verse, we focus only on the phrase “the gift of God is eternal life,” and overlook the phrase “the wages of sin is death.”
Because of sin, death comes. We live in a fallen world; we are fallen men and women. There is no one who does good. The Bible says, “God allows us to reap what we sow; because of sin, we get paid death.” When someone sins, it not only affects them, but it also impacts those around them. This is why it’s so important that we are in the center of God’s will.
Corrie ten Boom once said, “The safest place to be is in the center of God's will.” We need to remember her words as we live each day following Christ.
I grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast where hurricanes were an expectation every fall. Beginning in the latter half of the summer, we would begin to see the buildup of tropical storms. We commonly had a hurricane every year, if not several. Hurricane researchers have found that the place of greatest peace in the midst of a hurricane is in the eye of the storm.
Likewise, we need to realize that the safest place for our lives is in the center of God’s will. Let me ask you several questions. Are you in the center of the will of God right now in your life? Have you given your life to Christ? Are you walking with Him right now? Or are you trying to live right on the edge of destruction?
I pray that you are seeking and striving to live in the center of God’s will rather than in the center of your own will. As Corrie ten Boom said, the safest place you can be is in the center of the Lord’s will. I pray that you will remember this truth today and in the future, as you continue following Christ.

I do my best to stay close to my Savior and Heavenly Father. I don't want to be anywhere else.
We should remove ourselves from the center of our lives and put in that place
God de Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
