Encountering God’s Grace
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. – James 4:8
Experiencing grace is not always a grand, emotionally charged event. Rather, it is a profound spiritual encounter with God, orchestrated in His perfect timing and manner. When we are open to hearing the message of the gospel preached clearly, the Spirit of God begins a transformative work within us. It's as if He gently nudges our hearts, drawing us closer to Himself.
For some, this drawing towards God feels like an irresistible magnetic force. They sense God's presence and become aware of their separation from Him. For others, it may be a subtle awareness—a quiet realization that they need to turn towards God. There might not be an overwhelming flood of emotions, and that's okay.
Grace doesn't demand a specific feeling or emotion. It invites us to simply lean into the experience of God's unconditional love and acceptance. We don't have to wait for a surge of emotion to validate our encounter with grace. Instead, we can trust in the quiet whispers of the Spirit, guiding us towards a deeper relationship with God.
So let’s choose to embrace each moment as an opportunity to experience God's grace, trusting in His faithfulness to draw us closer to Himself. As we make this choice, we’ll learn to lean into His presence with open hearts, ready to receive the gift of grace that He so freely offers.

I believe God is drawing me closer to him.
I am thankful for the tugging of the Holy Spirit. I love to read God's Word and become closer to Him.I was fortunate to have gone through several discipleship classes at Westside. They all helped me to draw closer to God and Jesus. I am so much loved ❤
