We Need One Another
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Brotherhood and biblical community are vital to our Christian walk. We need the brotherhood to serve together. God wants us to be involved in ministry and He wants us to serve. He doesn't want us to just sit back and learn things; He wants us to learn Scripture to do things. It is important for us to show that love. Find a ministry where you can connect with people and be personally involved. You can do that through small groups and through other ministry opportunities, but the responsibility is on you to do good deeds and express the love of Christ. That is why you need the body of Christ. If you are not connected to the body of Christ and part of a church, there is no one to spur you on to good deeds.
In addition to serving together, we also need the brotherhood to meet together. Christianity is not meant to be a solo, isolated experience; we need each other. God used the early church to serve as an example, but we also need to be the example in this age. There is no substitute for being physically present. We desperately need to continue meeting in person, because that is how God has created us to function.
Finally, we need the brotherhood so we don’t stop trying. Scripture tells us, but encouraging one another -- and all the more as you see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25) Many of us are right on the edge of surrendering. Some of us are going through a difficult time. Maybe it is relationally, financially, physically, or emotionally. We need each other and we need to encourage each other to keep going. You need other people to tell you, “Don’t despair.” Even when you think you are about finished, you need to speak life into other people.

Us women of our small group bonded quickly. Most of us have gone on to other ministries but still keep in contact with each other to lift each other up. And to pray for each in times of need. I would feel like I am floundering through life without them
We do need each other.
Amen! No person is an island!
