Blaming Others
“The king’s heart is in the hands of the Lord. He directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.” (Proverbs 21:1)
I love the story of Ruth Knowlton. She couldn't understand why the woman who had an apartment close to hers didn’t wash her windows. Every time she looked through her windows, she could see her neighbor sitting at her table, eating, or knitting. She was able to see her because the apartments were very close. Slowly but surely, she could barely see the lady.
She thought, “The problem is with my neighbor; she doesn't wash her windows.” One day, Ruth decided, “I should probably wash my windows.” She washed her windows. As she looked out, she saw her neighbor more clearly than ever before. She thought to herself, “That’s wonderful. My neighbor finally washed her windows!” In reality, it was her windows that were the problem!
We are headed for a disaster when we blame others. Do you find yourself blaming others when things go wrong? Do you blame your wife for your situation? Do you blame your husband because you would say, ”He has limited my dreams,” or “He has stifled my heart?” Do you blame your children? “If I didn't have them, I could do this or that?” Do you blame your employer for not advancing you? Is it their fault? You need to remember the Scripture that says, “The king’s heart is in the hands of the Lord. He directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.” (Proverbs 21:1)
Do you find yourself blaming God for what is happening in your life right now? You are headed for disaster if you are always blaming others. We need to be singing this chorus in our hearts more often, “It's not my brother, It's not my sister, but it's me, Oh Lord, Standing in the need of prayer.”
We need to realize that we are the ones with the greatest need. When we live with that kind of dependence upon God, rather than blaming others for our situation, we get corrected. Don't be caught playing the blame game. Instead, become someone who takes responsibility for your own actions.

When I think about the terrible things my neighbors keep doing. I ask God what I can do to alleviate the situation. I don't always get an answer so I pray for them and try to show them love the way Jesus would.
I need to Seek YOU Lord . I know I need help accepting responsibility .Thank YOU Lord !
