Unconditional Generosity
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” (Matthew 6:1-2)
I don't care how destitute you might be, or how wealthy you are; God has not created you to just be a receiver. He wants you to be a giver. Giving is not focused on how many zeros come after your gift, but rather that you give from the ways the Lord has blessed you. God has created us to give. If you are not a giver, you are shutting off part of the flow of joy that God can grant you. Regardless of where you are financially, God wants you to be an obedient, cheerful, and willing giver.
The Word of God instructs us, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10) Scripture makes it clear that giving starts with the tithe (10 percent) and that the storehouse is your local church.
The best way you can exercise your ability to give is through your local church. Your church is a great place to start. Your local church should be plugged into your community and have a good understanding of what the needs are within your community. When you give through your church, you are ultimately funding outreach so that the church can make an impact in the lives of the people around it.
How can you get started this week on giving to the Lord? Start by giving to your local church. If a ministry is feeding you spiritually and daily, support that ministry with your financial gifts.
You could even be creative and buy lunch for the person behind you in the drive-thru lane. Whatever the case may be, I encourage you to be generous to someone this week. No matter where you are financially, trust that the Lord will bless you and provide for you because of your obedience.

I love to give when I can. It is a good feeling when I am helping out others
This I think brings happiness to others and can open doors.
