Take Care of Your Bod
Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. (1 Kings 19:5-6)
Many people in our society today are struggling with depression. In the middle of their struggles, most people don’t know what to do to overcome these heavy feelings. Thankfully, as believers, we have God’s Word to guide us and direct us through whatever is thrown our way.
One simple thing we can do to lessen depression is to take care of our bodies. You are not only a spiritual being, but you are also a physical being. Your physical health affects your emotional health. What you put into your body affects you emotionally, mentally, and even spiritually. In 1 Kings 19:5, the Bible teaches us a very simple thought. Elijah lays down under a tree and falls asleep. Because he was emotionally drained, he needed that rest. The sleep issue is wrapped up in the depression issue.
God sent an angel to Elijah. What did the angel do? He provided Elijah with some food and water. The angel woke him and said, “Take and eat. Get up and eat.” Many times, when you go through depression, you don't feel like eating. However, taking care of your body through healthy nutrition will have many positive effects on various aspects of your life.
Some of us need better sleep, others need better nutrition, and many need to be more active. People who are going through that whirlwind of emotions need to take care of their bodies. Your body and your physical health affect you emotionally. In turn, your emotions affect your body. Because we are connected, take care of your body.

God has blessed us This 1st. Day of SPRING . Thank You Lord GOD Almighty !
I know that if I get down to get up out of my seat and do something. And to go to the Word. I need to try eating something healthy if I ever feel down. I need to eat healthier to feel healthier. I'm glad I have my Savior to help me through each day
