Who Is Jesus?
We must understand that the resurrection invites the greatest question Jesus ever asked: “Who do you say I am?”
During Jesus’ time on earth, He asked His disciples this question, and Simon Peter got the answer right. He said, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God.” We must have the same view of Jesus if we want to embrace the resurrection for what it is.
Regardless of where you are, God is looking at you, and He is looking at me; and He is asking this question, “What about you? Who do you say I am?”
How would you answer that question? Who would you say Jesus is? How would you describe Him?
I pray that you will take the time today to answer these questions in light of the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As you do, ask the Lord to grant you wisdom as you strive to understand the impact of the resurrection, and to share that impact with those around you.
For many of us, we look at the cross as just a symbol of Christianity. It is far more than that. It is God’s tremendous power for your life. If you do not engage with the cross of Jesus, you will miss out on having the power of God to change your life.
