God’s Will
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. (Psalm 32:8)
I want to ask you a question: Are you living your life in alignment with God’s will, or are you trying to make God’s will align with what you want? (You might not like to answer that question.)
Many of us have tried to align God with where we want to go. Nothing will put you upside down in your life more than when you try to squeeze God into where you want to go. Trying to make God line up with your plans is a dead-end road that never ends well.
Nothing is more powerful in your life than when you allow your life to be aligned with the Throne Room of God. We can experience God's will in our lives by lining up with what is happening in heaven right now. When we align with heaven, God will give us unbelievable peace during whatever storms we are experiencing. Many people are looking for peace in the middle of their struggles, hurts, and disappointments.
Living in harmony with the will of God comes with many benefits, such as, “the peace that surpasses all understanding.” (Philippians 4:7) Speaking from experience, I have never been disappointed when I’ve chosen to follow God’s will. God’s plans are always the best! They may not be the plans we would have asked for, but just like He promises in Romans 8:28, “He always works things out for the good of those who love Him.”
If you have been trying to get God on the same page with you instead of aligning with God, I pray that today will be the day everything changes for you. When you align with His will and His plan, He will do an amazing work through you because of your obedience and faithfulness to Him.

Yes, I have learned that life goes better for me when I let God do the leading
I'm retired and work some part time. I often pray for God's direction on this. He always doesn't tell me the specifics so I ask Him to close the doors on those directions He doesn't want me to work or to take. He did that 6 months ago as the company wasn't good.
I keep listening for His voice and watching for closed doors
