What Are Your Ministry Gifts?
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. – 1 Peter 4:10
In Scripture, we learn that there are several ministry gifts that are granted to believers. There is the gift of giving, the gift of helping, the gift of administration (organization), the gift of mercy, the gift of discernment, the gift of prophecy, the gift of preaching, the gift of teaching, the gift of exhortation (encouragement), and the gift of faith.
I believe it’s important to understand that these spiritual gifts or ministry gifts come in clusters. Usually, when you get saved, you have two or three gifts that are manifested in your life. One of them may be stronger, but Jesus had all of them!
With the mature believer, you can't really tell which gifts they have. They look like they have them all. Why? Because they are in love with Jesus, and those gifts just flow from within them.
Regardless of which gifts you’ve been given, Scripture says you need to be serving out of those gifts. They are the motivations by which you do ministry and service. You may want to help someone, and maybe that means baking them a pie. Maybe, you want to mow their lawn or do something else to minister to them. Maybe you have the gift of giving, and it may not be just giving money. It might be giving your energy and your time.
Maybe you have the gift of encouragement, and you take opportunities to build others up when they’re feeling down and hopeless. Whatever the case may be for you, it is exciting that all of us have gifts.
That is what is so incredible about the body of Christ. When we as believers are together in a church family, we have all the gifts needed to be used for the glory of God. Therefore, we need to be obedient by serving and using the ministry gifts that God has given us.
If you’re not sure what your gifts are, ask God to show you. He will make that clear to you! Because the Spirit of God is in you, He is doing ministry through you. Lean into the gifts He’s given you today and serve others with those gifts.

I keep serving others in whatever gift the Holy Spirit helps me to do. There are so many ways in which to serve to help others and lead the unsaved to Christ. I want to be a faithful servant for Jesus
I have been told I have the gift of mercy, as I love helping people and encouraging. However, that can break my heart each day as I see the homeless veterans try to survive with their best friend, their dog, and packing belongings up as they awaken from their sleep in a vacant lot. I have more mercy for the men and women who gave to protect us and other countries, and end up with mental illness than I do for those in Ukraine. God please give us strength and compassion to help our people, and help them seek You. AMEN.
Thank You Gloria , I agree with you completely. I is terribly sad. We need to Seek God's Will and Do what needs to be Done to make things better for ALL !
God's mercy should be extended to everyone, including the people in Ukraine.
Thank you I will ask God, because I have Wonder about this.
